Tips

You can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S to quickly save your config while in the Config Editor.

While designing a config, you will notice a rectangle outlining your entire config. If this rectangle is green then performance should be optimal. If its red then performance might degrade (although most high-spec computers these days will probably not be affected). Try not to spread your config over a very large area. It sometimes helps to run mutiple clients that each display in a different area of your desktop.

Clicking on the Samurize tray icon with a single left mouse button click will make Samurize hide and pause. Clicking it again will return to normal. Useful before playing games :)

You can define global hotkeys (such as Ctrl+Alt+R) to reload, toggle the tray icon and pause Samurize on the Project panel of the Config Editor.

Want more information about your currently playing media displayed in Samurize? Tropics has created an Advanced Media Player plugin for use with Samurize and many popular media players such as Winamp, iTunes, foobar2000 and more. This plugin comes with the Samurize installer. Read the SpectrumReadme.txt file in your Samurize directory for more information.
